Windows and Doors
WHY PELLA & ANDERSEN? OUR REPUTATION IS ON THE LINE! ONLY THE BEST WINDOWS & DOORS FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.
A little history to get us started. Andersen was founded way back in 1903 by a Danish immigrant named Hans Andersen in Wisconsin. Today they are the largest window manufacturer in the United States. Pella wasn't too far behind when Pete and Lucille Kuyper invented a rolling screen in 1925 in the Dutch community of Pella, Iowa and is number 2 in manufactured units. They each have proven track records, great reputations, & have endured by welcoming new technology to keep them in the forefront while so many others have come and gone. They both provide superior products that perform. It only makes sense for us to offer the best in quality, service and durability.
What do you need to consider for window and door replacements?
First is window or door types such as casement, double hung etc. Second is the type of glass to optimize your performance needs (often determined by where you live in the U.S.). Exterior and interior options – type of material, colors; grills or muntin bars hardware style and any accessories. Both companies offer an optional microfine screen that gives you a clearer view as well as keeping out small insects. Pella offers that original roll screen (vastly improved Since 1925) and between the glass blinds or shades. While these options add to the cost of their Designer Series window, if you're planning on purchasing after market blinds, shades, curtains or window shutters anyway, this is indeed a wise and easy to care for option to consider.
Pella's byline is "only the best". Andersen helps you "greet the world with style". Both provide energy savings that surpass the Energy Star ratings, unsurpassed quality, strength and durability yet meet the beauty and style to improve the look of your home.
When replacing windows, you can create a new look, preserve an existing look or enhance your view by increasing the window size or adding a window at a new location. Both offer standard sizes as well as custom sizing and they truly provide serious noise reduction.
Pella offers aluminum clad exteriors, wood on the interior for Designer and Classic series. They also offer fiberglass windows. They have a variety of price points to meet all expectations – all backed by great guarantees and a local service department. Andersen windows have a vinyl exterior with wood interiors. They offer a 400 series with superior craftsmanship and top performance, a 200 series in the most popular sizes & options while providing quality at an uncommon value, and a custom Architectural series in dramatic shapes and sizes. To compare window prices from both, we recommend you compare the basic window without added options.
THERMA TRU DOORS
The front entrance to your home is the first impression visitors get about those inside. To make a lasting care free impression, consider having a fiberglass entry door installed. Fiberglass combines the best of 2 worlds – the warm, rich look of wood but with low maintenance and outstanding performance in an advanced composite material. Fiberglass products are dent resistant, won't rust or corrode and have a foam core to provide exceptional insulation. Therma Tru offers entry doors in many styles. Their beautiful glass patterns are hand assembled and put together with precision artisanship. Other options include clad frames, finishes and hardware. Fiberglass allows you to paint one side for a dramatic front door and stain the interior to match your woodwork. These doors are also available pre-finished. Rounding out the exterior of your home, replace those architectural elements such as columns, pilasters, keystones and moldings with composites of inorganic material that will not rot or warp, and are insect resistant. They are low maintenance and last decades longer than real wood trim.
